Lost on the way to Red Fort

When traveling underground you almost forget you are in India, except when you hear announcements like "Passengers are requested not to sit on the floor!" and "Please do not play music in the trains!" followed by the more familiar "Doors will open on the right, please mind the gap!"... Oh yes, another good reminder is the moment you walk out and find yourself in a place like this... (Here are some point-and-shooters with my digicam.)








We planned to go to Red Ford, but apparently took the wrong turn somewhere and suddenly realized that we have no idea which direction we are actually heading to. Our mini tourist map gave us nothing but an idea of our general location - Old Delhi. Instead of going back we decided to keep on exploring the area... Things got interesting so I took out my SLR...





At the end of the day we made it! But it was too late to go inside, so we hung around for a bit and headed back home.
